Here's an EASY way to donate funds to the Family Shelter. Without the generosity and dedicated support of the community, we would not be able to continue helping children and families in need! Give an Honorary or Memorial Gift
To make a donation in honor of someone, you can do one of the following:
- Donate online via PayPal. In the “notes” section, please list the name and address of the person you wish to honor. Family Shelter will then send out a notification letter to the person that you have honored after your donation has been processed.
- Mail a donation check along with the name and address of the person who you would like to honor using the address above. Family Shelter will then send out a notification letter to the person that you have honored after your donation has been processed.
Get Involved, Volunteer!
Without the generous support of local individuals, organizations, businesses, and churches we would not be able to continue serving homeless parents and children. We rely on our dedicated volunteers to keep overhead costs low, which enables us to fund more services for our clients.
There are a variety of ways a group or an individual can volunteer at the Family Shelter.
Volunteer activities include:
- Preparing and serving dinner for shelter residents
- Helping to provide childcare during training programs for parents
- Hosting special events and holiday parties
- Doing arts and crafts activities with children and parents
- Renovating the facilities and doing yard work
- Holding a fundraiser
- Having a supply drive
- Donating professional skills and services
- Tutoring children afterschool
- Providing administrative help
There is always a need for professionals and business owners in the community to donate their time and resources to the Family Shelter:
- Electricians
- Carpenters
- Heating and AC
- Graphic Design
- Roofers
- Plumbers
- Catering
- Event Planning
